It depends on the coach! Coaches are distinct in their approach, experience, and training. I enjoy providing an open and engaging space for you to explore a life transition. This could be a shift in your career, a new opportunity, navigating uneasy emotions, a move to a new place, or redefining a relationship. Precious decisions require care and it is my honor to be by your side as you create meaningful change.

Coaches and therapists are distinct in a variety of ways. I have found both to be very important and here’s a little bit more about how they differ:
Therapy tends to focus on the past while moving towards a brighter future. Therapists are licensed by the state and can only work in that state. They often accept medical insurance and can diagnose and treat mental illness. Certain traumatic experiences are best worked through with a therapist. Therapists usually work with people on a longer term basis. I know some great ones if you need a recommendation.
Coaches meet people in the present moment and focus on the future. They can gain expertise and certification in a variety of ways and do not have to limit their services to a particular state. Coaches are great people to work with on achieving goals, moving through a transition, or starting a new endeavor. They primarily work with people in short to medium terms on certain hopes, goals, or desires. I know various types of coaches if you need a recommendation.
I find that having both a coach and therapist are a powerful duo.

Change isn’t easy. Yet, it’s constant.
I noticed that there wasn’t a lot of tailored support for the in-between moments of transition. When it’s messy. Or unclear. Yet, those moments of transition are when we have the most possibility. For me, being with that hope is what can be transformative.
So, if you are going through something mucky and hard, but see a glimmer of hope and just want to make it through - I help you brighten the focus towards the fullness of you.
You are the light that will guide you and I get to help energize that flow while you move through the heaviness of it all.
So if you need some ease and joy as you transition through something major a transition coach or Reset Doula like me, might be right for you!

That’s quite alright! In fact, in can be part of the coaching. Having the space to distill what you want, is something you can be coached on if you would like that support. Often times, we can find ourselves in the middle of something and unsure how to move or what we want. It’s natural to feel that way and as a coach, I enjoy working with people in those fuzzy moments when you might be unsure but clear that something needs to change. We can discover that something together.
And if you have a goal - that’s very welcomed, too! We can be action-orientated and I can help you meet your goal with more clarity, ease, and joy.

You should expect a warm smile from me every time I see you.
I value our connection. As we get to know each other these are the usual stages:
Exploratory Call // A 45-60 minute video call get to know each other call. It’s a casual conversation to learn more about each other, experience a lil coaching session, and see how we might work together.
Chemistry Configuration // A 45-60 minute call to dig more into the details of what we hope to do together, how long it might take to go on a Reset Doula journey, what relationship agreements we want to create, and the renumeration for services.
Rhythmic Check-Ins // Based on what we decide to do together we will meet in a particular cadence tailored to you. It’s usually 6-12 sessions of 60 or 90 minutes.
Deep Dive Session // This is a ‘drop-in’ in depth conversation for 90 minutes. It’s when the time is ripe, something particular is bubbling up and you want more immediate and particular support. This can be especially helpful for leaders having to make a tough choice or wanting to have more clarity on a particular issue, relationship, or feeling.

Currently, I am referral based only, which means we must share some sort of meaningful connection. This is important to me because I operate in a relational way and want to ensure I am benefiting communities I have been connected to throughout my life.
I am grateful to have made many connections and welcome friends of friends, people who worked at organizations I’m connected to, or have been a part of programs or community groups that I value.
I hope this enables me to strengthen and deepen a powerful web of people working to do more good in the world.

“Priceless!” is what a former coaching partner once said and I think it’s true. This work comes from my heart, I want you to feel completely at ease in working with me, which means I have thought about the cost for my services very deliberately.
My rate varies for a few reasons and depends on the type of work we decide to do together. I often create packages for people if there is consulting involved and also operate on a sliding-scale rate for my hourly sessions. For me, this enables me to be equitable and sustainable.
You will learn more about my rates on our second call - the Chemistry Configuration, which comes after our initial Exploratory call.
